Since I was the only one at home, I knew there were no TV's on, and believe me I checked over my shoulder to make sure I was alone. I squinted my eyes, moved closer to the screen, and Low and Behold, "Dancing with the stars" was playing. All of a sudden in the Roxio preview window I see a grainy movie playing, no audio, just a movie. Hooked up the newer VCR, turned on power, but DID NOT HIT PLAY. Last night, after trying to work with Dazzle all day, I was tired, frustrated and ankles were swelling. MKįor those of you who have been so helpful, and for those of you who have been frustrated, I thought you might like to read this. Going to try and get in touch with Pinnacle - tried before, but no luck. Have made sure all microphones are off, so don't know why that is happening. No audio off the video, but can hear the VCR running. I do believe I figured out what noise I am picking up - it is the sound of my VCR running. Thanks so much for steering me to the proper download from Pinnacle. I know I am getting closer to solving this problem, but hate it when the computer knows more than I do. Should there be options? When I play the video I have volume cranked up and I can hear the VCR turning (background noise of the VCR itself). With previous cables, this was grayed out. I again used another set of cables, and now under the "options"/audio input, I have a choice of Stereo Mix or Microphone. I attached White to white and yellow to yellow to the Dazzle converter. My VCR only has the yellow and white connectors. You need a cord with all 3 ends or you can use 2 cords that have 2 ends and use one to connect the Audio and just use half of one to connect the video. Looks like you're not hooking the cables up correctly. You should have 3 connections on your VCR just like on the Dazzle. You need to connect all 3 on the VCR to the matching color on the Dazzle. If you do and get it correct it should work just fine.Follow Daithi's color code.
